Brown-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta)

Brown-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta)

The name "hirta," Greek for "hairy," refers to the dense coating of fine hairs that cover the leaves and stem of this plant.

This flower is considered sacred here at Diana's Grove because it also does not shave.
