Beginning in March, you have a second Mystery School Gathering option.
The old Mystery School, the one that began twelve years ago, is called the
Inner Journey Mystery School. Commune with the Wild will focus on the land
and community.
The Ballad of Tam Lin asks you to step into the wild. If your spiritual
or personal practice is fulfilled through working with others and being outside,
this might be the path for you. You will learn skills and use your talents.
You will leave each gathering with ideas that you can apply to a garden in
your back yard or to your sense of the sacred every time you walk in the
woods.
These weekends fulfill a dream of mine. I know of no way to really learn
group dynamics other than by being in a dynamic group, a group that works
together, lives together, addressing issues and desires openly. Each weekend
will have three sessions on community, group dynamics, healthy process and
the art of being authentic.

Someone asked “Why would I pick a weekend centered on work?” My
answer: “There is no better way to learn than by doing. Community is
only a philosophy until we live together and work together. The challenge
to be authentic is far less challenging when I spend the weekend listening
with other listeners.” These weekends provide an opportunity to live
our learning and learn by living. When the weekend is done, you will be able
to look at what you have done and say, I have been a part of a gift.
My work will touch the lives of people I may never meet. After all,
"Work is love made visible.” (Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet)
But what will we do? Stewardship themes include: Get to know the land,
Prepare for spring, Build a cabin–a 2 week project that begins at
the May Intensive, and more. Last year’s Stewardship triumph was
the treehouse, a big treehouse that provides housing for two.
What will happen next year? I can’t wait to see.
